I’m reaching out to request your support in sharing an important opportunity for children and young people who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who live in Havering.
We are working in partnership with Habbit Factory - The Habbit Factory Inclusive Theatre on a project to create a short film to share the priorities in our SEND and Alternative Provision Strategy 2024-28 - Special Educational Needs, Disabilities (SEND) and Alternative Provision (AP) Strategy.
This fun, engaging short film will be made by young people, for young people, to ensure their voices are heard loud and clear! It will also ensure we are delivering on our commitment to providing accessible, ‘easy read’ information on the strategy.
The insights and experiences of children and young people are critical in shaping how we make information more accessible. We would therefore greatly appreciate it if you could promote the attached flyer through your communication channels, such as newsletters, emails, or social media platforms.
The Habbit Factory will be filming during the summer term, and we hope that the final product will be ready to share by the end of July 2025—a project they can proudly call their own.
Your help in sharing this opportunity will play a crucial role in ensuring that we hear from as many children and young people as possible, particularly those who might not ordinarily engage in such an opportunity.
Information on how to express an interest in participating in this opportunity can be found on the attached flyer.
Thank you in advance for your support and partnership in making this initiative a success.
