Hello all

Some may know me from TPBC but Talk FC is a new venture that will help more men in need of support. TPBC carrying on as normal.

I hope this message finds you well.

I’m reaching out from Talk FC, a community organisation dedicated to supporting men’s wellbeing and personal development through the power of sport.

We’re excited to introduce our new project, “Pitch to Purpose” — a 10-week programme designed to engage men aged 20–50 who are currently or long-term unemployed. Using football as our main tool, we aim to help participants improve their physical wellbeing, build confidence, and overcome barriers to employment.

Each weekly session combines on-pitch activities with a “Team Talk” discussion, where we explore topics around wellbeing, motivation, and employability. While we can’t directly offer employment, our focus is on rebuilding confidence and helping men move towards a place where they feel ready to take their next steps.

Before the programme begins, we’re holding an Information Day where professionals and potential participants can find out more about what we do and how to get involved:

Date: Thursday 13th November

Venue: Everyone Active, Gooshays Drive, Romford, RM3 9LB

Time: 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

We’d love your support in sharing this opportunity with any clients, service users, or community members who may benefit from taking part.

If you’d like more information or promotional materials to share, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly.

Thank you for your time and for the work you do in supporting the wellbeing of men in our community.

Please also bare in mind when recommending this project to anyone it wouldn't be suitable to anyone with severe or complex mental health issues or any physical disabilities.

Warm regards,

Scott Oughton-Johnson
