Dear parents and carers of Chestnut class,
It is unfortunate that Mrs Miah, who took up the position of full time class teacher in Year 1, is no longer able to maintain this role. For personal reasons, she will not return after the Easter break. It is never ideal when a teacher decides to leave mid year and I understand the disruption this may cause. To reassure you, Miss Bassi, Mrs Smith and the team have worked hard to ensure there is as much continuity as possible in the provision your child is receiving.
Ms Sultana will be replacing Mrs Miah from Monday 15th April having spent the past few days in class. Some of you may already have met her. If you have not and would like to meet her, you are welcome to drop into Chestnut class at the end of the day on the first Monday after we return to school.
Once again, I am sorry for the disruption this may cause and for the late notice to yourselves, but it is for reasons beyond the control of the school. If you wish to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to contact the office to make an appointment.
